Police Seek Suspects In String Of Construction Site Robberies In Queens, The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for help in finding a robbery gang that they said targets construction sites after dark.

Police said three or four armed robbers have hit three sites, tying up and sometimes assaulting the overnight security guards.

The thieves have gotten away with cash, electronics and tools.

Authorities said the suspects have hit construction sites on Westchester Avenue and Exterior Street in the Bronx and on Ditmars Boulevard in Queens.

The incidents took place in late May and early June.

Surveillance video of the most recent robbery was released Saturday morning. Police also released an image of a U-Haul van believed to be used.
