Texas Police Searching For Missing Connecticut Boy With Autism

PEARLAND, T.X. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Texas are searching for a missing non-verbal boy with autism.

According to the Pearland Police Department, 9-year-old Marcus McGee has been missing since Thursday afternoon.

WCBS sister station KHOU reports that the boy's family is in Texas from Connecticut for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The boy is described as African-American, approximately 5'2" and weighing 60 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black Nike t-shirt with black and grey sweat pants, according to police.

KHOU reports that the home where the boy was last seen Thursday is owned by former New York Knicks center Marcus Camby. Police say that Camby and the boy are related but have not specified how.

The United States Coast Guard is assisting local authorities in the search for the missing child.
