Masterpieces Fill Coney Island Boardwalk At Annual Sand Sculpture Contest

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The finest sand sculptors hit the Coney Island beach Saturday.

It was all part of the 29th annual Coney Island sand sculpting competition.

Kids got in on the action with some impressive sculptures of their own.

The family-friendly event attracts more than 10,000 visitors to the historic Riegelmann Boardwalk.

The Alliance for Coney Island teamed up with Brooklyn Community Services to make the event possible.
