Con Ed Restoring Gas To Buildings On Pace Campus In Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Con Edison said it is restoring gas to buildings on the Pace University campus in Pleasantville after a gas leak forced students to evacuate.

By Thursday morning, Con Ed said heat and hot water had been restored to two buildings. The utility shut down the gas Wednesday, affecting dorms, a student center and an administration building.

Many students were re-located to the Pace campus in Briarcliff Manor while others had to sleep on cots set up in the gym.

Classes will be held Thursday as scheduled.
