Commencement Ceremony Moved Indoors Following Security Threat At Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Quinnipiac University officials say commencement for the school's College of Arts and Sciences was moved indoors due to a ``security threat.''

University spokesman John Morgan says the school received word of a ``security threat'' about 15 minutes before the start of the 6 p.m. ceremony, planned for the campus quad. Morgan declined to give details of the threat or how the school became aware of it.

Morgan says the ceremony, one of three at the school Sunday, was moved to the campus athletic arena, the TD Bank Sports Center, and rescheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The university's earlier ceremonies, at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., were held. Morgan said 388 students were part of the ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences.

Police later arrested a 22-year-old woman, CBS 2 reported.
