Columbia Clobbered By Dartmouth 61-49

HANOVER, N.H. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Miles Wright scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds Saturday night, as Dartmouth beat Columbia 61-49 on Saturday night.

Alex Mitola added 13 points for the Big Green (9-13, 2-6 Ivy League). Gabas Maldunas had 11 points and nine rebounds and Malik Gill 10 points. The team hit 19 of 38 (50 percent) from the field -- including 7 of 12 from distance -- and 16 of 27 (59.3 percent) from the line.

Dartmouth took a 12-0 lead with the help of a pair of 3-pointers by Mitola and led 28-26 at the break.

Steve Frankoski gave Columbia its only lead of the game, 31-30, on a 3-pointer early in the second half. Dartmouth answered with a 15-6 run capped by a Wright 3-pointer to take a 45-37 lead with 6:50 to play and the Big Green cruised from there.

Frankoski led the Lions (11-11, 3-5) with 14 points.
