Officials: $126,000 In Cocaine Found In Oddly-Shaped Object At JFK Airport

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- U.S. Customs and Border Protections officers seized around 7 pounds of cocaine stashed inside a shipment that arrived at John F. Kennedy airport in February.

According to officials, officers at an express cargo facility discovered an unclaimed placard inside a larger shipment. Upon closer inspection, the officers found white powder in the oddly-shaped object, which later tested positive for cocaine, officials said.

According to officials, the cocaine seized is estimated to be worth around $126,000.

No arrests have been made as officials continue to investigate the incident.
