Hillary Clinton Supporter Has Surprise Encounter With Candidate In Chappaqua

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork)  -- A Hillary Clinton supporter had a surprise encounter with the candidate in Westchester County on Thursday.

Margot Gerster spotted the Democratic nominee, along with former president Bill Clinton, at a park near their home in Chappaqua.

Bill Clinton snapped a photo for them and Gerster shared it on Facebook.

She said she went for a walk with her daughter because she was so upset Clinton lost the election.

"I told her something along the lines of 'all I wanted to do all day yesterday was hug you and tell you how proud I was to bring my daughter to vote for you,' and when I told her that, she seemed very happy and we hugged," she said.

Late Thursday night, the Facebook post had been shared more than 6,000 times in just six hours.
