Christie Gets Candid About Relationship, Quarreling Methods With Wife Mary Pat
TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has been getting candid about his marriage.
Christie, who is also running for the Republican presidential nomination, said he and his wife, Mary Pat, waited seven years to have children while deciding whether they "definitely liked each other."
The comment appeared in the book "American Governor" by Matt Katz, a reporter for WNYC public radio.
Gov. Christie also revealed he has gone to marriage counseling.
He further told Katz that he quarrels with Mary Pat Christie inside a walk-in closet away from their four children.
The Christies will be married 30 years this March.
