15 displaced due to safety concerns at Chinatown building

Building in Chinatown vacated because of bulging facade

NEW YORK -- Fifteen people were displaced Wednesday because of safety concerns at their Chinatown building.

Some of the brick facade at 111 Mott St. is bulging on the side.

Officials say it's in danger of collapsing on the sidewalk.

The buildings department ordered the residents vacate the property.

The Red Cross is assisting.
