NYPD Arrests Suspect After 7-Year-Old Groped In Brooklyn Store

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has made an arrest after a 7-year-old girl was groped inside a Brooklyn store earlier this week.

According to police, the incident occurred on Monday, May 2, at the Southside Food  Plaza on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg.

The man walked up to the girl, grabbed her buttocks and then fled the store, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect earlier this week, with hopes of catching the suspect.

After a police investigation, Pasquale Vittiburga, 53, of Brooklyn, was taken into custody on Thursday in connection to the incident.

Vittiburga was charged with two counts of sex abuse and two counts of forcible touching, police said.
