Search On For Man Who Regularly Steals Slurpees From Chelsea 7-Eleven

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were on the hunt Friday for a man who has been helping himself to Slurpees on a regular basis without paying at a Chelsea 7-Eleven.

As 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported, the Slurpee machine on 7-Eleven on Seventh Avenue between 21st and 22nd streets is self-serve – not help yourself.

But instead of plunking down almost $2 each time, a man in his 30s comes in almost every day, fills up a small cup, and then walks out with a wave.

The manager said at first, he thought the man was confused. But as the days go by, the manager figures the man knows exactly what he is doing.

They called police, who have stopped by, but so far, the Slurpee bandit remains elusive.
