NYPD: Man Snatches Chain From 75-Year-Old Woman's Neck In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 75-year-old woman was ambushed and robbed in her Brooklyn apartment building Saturday afternoon.

The victim was getting off the elevator in the lobby when a man pushed her to the ground, snatched a chain from her neck and ran off, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene for injuries to her neck and right knee.

The suspect was caught on surveillance camera at a nearby grocery store.

The suspect is described by police as a black man, approximately 21 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 130 pounds with a medium complexion, black hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
