Central Park's Lasker Ice Rink Reopens Far Ahead Of Schedule

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The New York City Parks Department says the Trump Lasker ice skating rink in Central Park has reopened to the public.

Repairs on the rink's refrigeration system began last week. It reopened Thanksgiving Day.

Hockey games, practices and skating lessons are slated to resume on Monday.

Initially, it appeared the facility would be closed for the entire 2014-15 season, according to an announcement on Lasker Rink's website.
