Another Mugging Reported In Central Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating another mugging in Central Park.

It happened just after 1 a.m. Wednesday at West 81st Street and Central Park West in The Ramble section of the park, CBS2 reported.

The suspect, who did not appear to have a weapon, made off with a man's wristwatch, police said.

The victim was not hurt, CBS2 reported.

The incident comes a day after police arrested two teenagers accused in taking part in a mugging at the park earlier this month.

The two were part of a group of about a dozen teens that attacked a couple at the Heckscher Playground, making off with a purse and iPhone, police said.

A 14-year-old girl, whose name was not released, and 17-year-old Jeffrey Valdez are charged with robbery, menacing and weapons possession.
