Man Allegedly Assaulted Mother As She Took Pictures Of Daughter In Central Park

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Police have charged a man with assaulting a mother as she took a picture of her daughter in Central Park.

Robert Griner, 37, allegedly walked up to the woman and punched her the face as she stood near a gazebo.

It happened near East 68th Street and Fifth Ave around noon on Friday.

Police arrested Griner after they were given cell phone pictures taken by witnesses.

There was no word on a motive.
