CBS2 12/8 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

Hello, everyone...

Skies will remain mostly cloudy through this afternoon... even a little drizzle possible later on. Between the clouds and persistent northeast wind, temps will stay in check... mid to upper 30s for a high.

Light rain and drizzle are still possible into this evening, but it's overnight (especially towards daybreak) where we'll see a light to moderate rain overspread the area.

Tomorrow morning's rush is looking wet with the heaviest of the rain towards the tail end, right into the middle part of the afternoon. That said, don't be surprised to see some roadway flooding around the area. Winds during the middle part of the day will be rather gusty... 40+ mph gusts in the city; 50-60 mph across Long Island. We'll see our rain lighten up a bit into the mid to late afternoon hours with residual flooding still possible.

Expect leftover showers Wednesday into Thursday with highs in the low 40s.

Check back for more details on our impending nor'easter!
