CBS2 12/20 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre

CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

We've got a quiet evening ahead with partly cloudy skies and a seasonable chill in the air. We'll stay dry and dip down into the 20s and 30s again for most, with a low of 38 in NYC. If you liked the warmth we had all month, you won't have to wait long!

Expect a partly sunny day tomorrow with a nice bump in temps as we get back to middle 50s. There will be a few showers tomorrow night-Tuesday - but all rain. It'll be even warmer Tuesday & Wednesday, albeit with a few more showers, so you'll wanna keep the umbrella handy. Temps Tuesday will be in the mid/upper 50s and we'll have low 60s Wednesday --that's 15-20 above normal!

The biggest story will be the incredible warmth Christmas Eve, with many folks reaching well into the 60s. There could even be some low 70s in parts of NJ. The record in NYC stands at 64, and we're calling for 69. One thing's for sure - Santa won't need his heavy coat Thursday night!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and enjoy the warmth ahead!
