CBS' 'The Talk' Wins Daytime Emmy For Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)--  CBS' "The Talk" received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show in entertainment on Sunday.

The show was up against "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "The Wendy Williams Show," "The Real," and "The View."

Co-host Julie Chen took to twitter celebrating the win, saying she's beyond grateful for the award.

Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler host the program which airs weekdays at 2 p.m. on CBS.

The show features a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities discussing current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day.

The hosts swap stories, challenge each other on issues and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes.

The show was developed by Gilbert, who also serves as executive producer.
