CBS Comes Up Big In Emmy Awards Nominations

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and The Late Late Show With James Corden have both received nominations for Outstanding Variety Talk Series and additional key categories for the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards. This is the first time since 2003 that two daily broadcast late night shows from the same network have been nominated in the same year.

CBS' The Late Show With Stephen Colbert garnered three Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Variety Talk Series, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series.

Meanwhile, The Late Late Show With James Corden received two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Variety Talk Series and Outstanding Interactive Program.

Corden also received a nod from The Academy for The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special - earning two nominations for Outstanding Variety Special and for Outstanding Technical Direction.

The 69th annual Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on September 17th at 5:00 PM PT/8:00 PM ET, only on CBS.
