Castle Hill Residents Seeing Yellow Over School Buses Blocking Driveways

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Residents in one Bronx neighborhood say they're fed up with school buses blocking their driveways every day.

As CBS 2's Sonia Moghe reported Wednesday, residents in Castle Hill say it's been a daily ordeal ever since Logan Bus Company took over buses and routes for the bankrupt Atlantic Express Bus Company a month ago.

"There has been times when I want to leave and they have buses double parked here," one resident told Moghe.

Twice a day buses line up against the street, completely blocking in cars that are parked on that side of the road.

Buses could even be seen driving into oncoming traffic to get around the long line of other buses waiting to park, Moghe reported.

"If it's blocked up, God forbid there's an emergency," another resident said.

A Logan Bus Company spokesman told CBS 2 that the company agrees the situation is unacceptable.  The spokesman said the company will work around the clock to find a fix for the affected neighbors.
