Taking a look at who's hot and who's not on the local sports landscape:
Three Up:
1. Brian Cashman
Cashman gave the Yankees a big boost, swinging a deal for Starlin Castro.
2. Brandon Marshall
He hit the 1,000-yard mark for receiving yards yet again, helping the Jets in a huge overtime win against Big Blue, their first win against them since 1993.
3. Mike Cammalleri
That's 30 points for him now. He's revived himself and is having one heck of a season for the Devils.
Three Down
1. Mets' Front Office
It lost out on Ben Zobrist, who was the Mets' primary target. Based on what's been reported, there's no clear Plan B. Alderson's team needs one, and fast.
On a side note -- and far more important note -- we're wishing Sandy a speedy recovery.
2. Giants
Their poor season continues, and the loss to the Jets might've been the lowest point yet.
3. John Tavares
The Islanders' star has just one point in his last five games. I'd be shocked if that trend continues much longer, but he's in a bit of a slump right now.
