SUV Plunges Into Pond At Hempstead Lake State Park

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – An SUV plunged into a pond early Tuesday morning on Long Island.
The 2019 Chevrolet Suburban was discovered around 5:40 a.m. in the North Pond at Hempstead Lake State Park.

New York State Police said the SUV had been stolen from Rosedale, Queens.
Police do not believe anyone was in the water.
After searching the area, crews worked to remove the vehicle.
