Driver In Custody After Car Crashes Into Outdoor Dining Area In Greenwich Village

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was taken into custody Wednesday after a car crashed into an outdoor dining area in Greenwich Village.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. at Cuba Restaurant on Thompson Street between West 3rd Street and Bleecker.

Police say the 61-year-old driver suffered minor injuries. Charges are pending.

No one else was hurt.

Sources say investigators are looking into whether the driver was intoxicated.
