Report: Rangers Considering 'Multiple' Trade Offers For Talbot

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York Rangers are in position to move their suddenly in-demand backup goalie.

But don't expect any action on Cam Talbot until general manager Glen Sather explores his options with front-office personnel on Thursday, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.

Sather has "multiple offers" to consider, Dreger reported. New York could opt to keep Talbot, who went 21-9-4 as a starter last season and kept the Rangers clicking during Henrik Lundqvist's two-month absence.

The Edmonton Oilers, Buffalo Sabres, Dallas Stars and San Jose Sharks are said to be in the mix for the Talbot, according to the New York Post. It remains to be seen whether the 27-year-old understudy could land the Rangers a first-round pick in the upcoming draft.

He's due $1.45 million in the final year of his contract.
