Video: Man Steals iPad, Security System From Manhattan Apartment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for a man who allegedly stole $964 in property from an apartment in Manhattan last week.

According to police, the suspect picked a lock to an apartment building on East 14th Street and Avenue A at around  1:30 p.m. on July 22.

Once inside, the man stole a white iPad 4, a Canary security system and other electronic devices from the home, police said.

The owner of the apartment was not home at the time.

The NYPD says the suspect was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a striped polo shirt, gray cargo shorts and black sneakers.

Surveillance video of the suspect, recorded in part by the homeowner's security system, can be viewed above.
