Yankees Reinstate Bryan Mitchell From 7-Day Concussion DL

ATLANTA (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Yankees have reinstated rookie right-hander Bryan Mitchell from the seven-day concussion disabled list.

The move was made before Friday night's game at the Atlanta Braves.

Mitchell sustained a concussion and a broken nose when he was struck by a line drive hit by Minnesota's Eduardo Nunez on Aug. 17. The 24-year-old pitcher was making his third major league start.

Mitchell is 0-1 with one save and a 3.86 ERA in 10 games this season.

Entering play on Friday night, the Yankees are 1 1/2 games behind the first-place Blue Jays in the American League East.
