Brush Fire Rages For Hours In Prospect Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A brush fire broke out Monday evening in Prospect Park in Brooklyn.

The fire was reported at 8:20 p.m. in the park across from 163 Prospect Park West, according to the FDNY.

The fire was out by 10:20 p.m., CBS2 reported.

The cause of the fire and other information were not available late Monday.

The dry ground conditions and windy atmosphere have led to an elevated risk of wildfires around the region.
