Police: Off-Duty Cab Driver, 2 Passengers Robbed At Gunpoint In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for two gunmen who they said robbed an off-duty taxi driver and two people in his car in Brooklyn.

The incident happened just before 5 a.m. Monday on Fulton Street in East New York.

Police said the suspects forced the 22-year-old cab driver and two passengers out of the vehicle and robbed them at gunpoint.

One of the suspects drove off in the cab, which was later recovered a few blocks away, while the other suspect ran off on foot, police said.

The suspects made off with about $300 in cash, credit cards and a cell phone.

Police released surveillance video and pictures of the suspect who took off in the cab.
