Just before 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, the 50-year-old woman got on the elevator for the A Train at the Jay Street-MetroTech station when the man came up, police said.

The man kissed the woman and touched her in her "private area," police said. The woman got off the elevator and the man ran off in an unknown direction, police said.

The woman was not injured, police said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male about 50 years old, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 280 pounds, with salt-and-pepper hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue slacks, police said.

Police have released a surveillance video from the elevator.
