Police: Man Attacks, Robs Teenage Girl While Riding Subway Train In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who they said attacked a teenage girl and stole her necklace while riding the subway in Brooklyn.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on a southbound 3 train.
Police said the man punched a 16-year-old girl in the back and then grabbed a gold chain off her neck when the train stopped at the Utica Avenue station. He then got off the train and fled, police said.
The girl refused medical attention.
The suspect was seen on surveillance video from inside the station.
He's described by police as a black man between the ages of 20 and 25 and between 6'1" and 6'3" tall. He was seen wearing a dark gray T-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
