Police: Suspect Wanted In Series Of Robberies In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who they say is wanted for a series of robberies in Brooklyn.
The man struck at least three times in November, police said. In each case, he pushes the victim to the ground and steals money, cell phones and credit cards, police said.
The first incident happened on Nov. 16. Police said he walked up to a 78-year-old woman in the area of Van Siclen Avenue and Belmont Avenue, pushed her to the ground and took her purse, which had about $35 inside, police said.
On Nov. 24, police said he attacked a 57-year-old man in the area of Vermont Street and Belmont Avenue. In that incident, police said he made off with a cell phone, several credit cards and some cash.
The most recent incident happened on Nov. 29. In that case, police said he pushed down an 83-year-old man on Snediker Avenue before stealing an unknown amount of cash.
The suspect was seen on surveillance video. Police describe him as a 21-year-old black man who is about 6-feet-tall.
