Police: 21-Year-Old Brooklyn Man Shot To Death By Stranger In Car

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- A 21-year-old man was killed after being shot in his car by a stranger in another vehicle in Brooklyn, police said.

Police officers found Anthony Francis, of Brooklyn, with gunshot wounds to the chest after responding to a call at around 6:30 p.m. on Friday near East 31st Street and Avenue J. An investigation suggests Francis was sitting in his vehicle when an unknown man pulled up in a dark-colored 2-door Sedan and shot several rounds at him. The man then fled the scene.

EMS transported Francis to Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A woman was also in the victim's car but managed to escape uninjured. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
