Authorities Investigate After Brooklyn Man Claims Cops Kicked Him In Groin

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD Internal Investigations Bureau is probing a Brooklyn man's claim that he was stomped on by police.

According to Cory Green, 33, two officers threw him to the ground and kicked him in the groin with a steel boot. Green said he was kicked after being placed in a lineup in connection to the robbery of a food delivery man in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Saturday.

Cory Green remains at Bellevue Hospital center, recovering from serious groin injuries, WCBS 880's Marla Diamond reported.

'"He's in a lot of pain, he's just in a lot of pain," John Green, Cory's father, said.

His father believes that what the police did to his son was inhumane.

"This looks terrible, you know?" John Green, 52,  said.  I just want this brought to justice."

Attorney Sanford Rubenstein is calling on the Brooklyn District Attorney to investigate.

Police tell a different story, saying Green was injured running into a scaffolding while fleeing from the robbery lineup.

Police said Green had 15 prior arrests and was wanted on an outstanding warrant from a DWI arrest.
