Brooklyn Man Charged In Rape In Chinatown

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Brooklyn man has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman in her bedroom in Chinatown.

Police told CBS 2 that around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, the man knocked on the Lower Manhattan woman's door. When someone opened, he pushed his way in, police said.

The suspect then allegedly assaulted the 52-year-old woman in her bedroom, police said. Her roommate called police, and the suspect was still there when officers arrived, police said.

Hua Qin Ye was charged with attempted rape, burglary, and resisting arrest, police said.
