Man Dead After Being Shot Inside Jeep In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Relatives of 31-year-old hip-hop producer Eric McKinney gathered in front of his house in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, trying to make sense of what happened the night before.

McKinney was in his Jeep in Fort Greene Sunday night when he was shot twice through the window -- once in the torso and once in the arm, 1010 WINS' Roger Stern reported. He had apparently tried to drive himself to the emergency room.

After crashing twice, he was found in his vehicle at the corner of Ashland Place and DeKalb Avenue, right by Brooklyn Hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

There is no word on whether the shooting was random, or if McKinney was the intended target.
