Brooklyn Cyclones Giving Out 'Magic Loogie' Bobbleheads On Seinfeld Night

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- That's gold, Jerry! Gold!

The Brooklyn Cyclones are hosting a "Salute to Seinfeld Night" on July 5, complete with a Keith Hernandez "Magic Loogie" bobblehead giveaway, batting practice in puffy shirts and an Elaine dance competition.

Oh, there's more:

-- The Mets' Single-A affiliate said it will be renaming its stadium Vandelay Industries Park for the evening.

-- Fans named George Costanza will be able to join the radio broadcast for one inning.

-- Do you deliver mail for a living, like Jerry's nemesis Newman? Show up and uniform and throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

-- Fans will be able to air their grievances at the team's info booth.

-- Foul poles will be referred to as Festivus Poles, and the PA announcer will be a low-talker.

-- That's not all. Get all the info on the team's website, including what's in store if your business card says you're a "Latex Salesman."

The aforementioned "Magic Loogie" bobblehead will be given out to the first 2,500 fans through the gates. The team said the promotion will celebrate the 25th anniversary of "Seinfeld," which ended its run in 1998.

The Cyclones will begin selling single-game tickets on May 10. Followers of the team on social media will be eligible for a pre-sale.

Jerry Seinfeld is a die-hard Mets fan and is known to join WFAN radio to talk about his favorite team from time to time.

"That's what we call 'Mets Magic,' " Seinfeld told WFAN's Steve Somers in 2012. "They have this thing where they can thrill you in the most unexpected ways, and I really do think there's something special about this organization. It's why I love 'em."
