7-Alarm Brush Fire Ranges In Southeast Brooklyn, Shuts Down Golf Course
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An extra-alarm brush fire shut down a golf course in southeast Brooklyn Friday afternoon.
The fire at Flatbush Avenue and the Belt Parkway was raised to seven alarms, officials said. The FDNY said the Marine Park Golf Course was shut down by the fire.
One firefighter was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, officials said. No homes were affected by the fire.
The city Office of Emergency Management advised people to avoid smoke and close their windows during the fre.

The fire also shut down Flatbush Avenue in both directions between the Marine Parkway Bridge and the Belt Parkway.
