3-Year-Old Brooklyn Boy Dies After Alleged Abuse

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 3-year-old Brooklyn boy allegedly abused by his mother's boyfriend has died.

Jaden Jordan died over the weekend after being taken off life-support. He was found unconscious in his Gravesend home a week ago.

Salvatore Lucchesse, 24, was charged with four counts of assault and endangering the welfare of a child, police said. No word yet about upgraded charges.

The Administration for Children's Services was tipped off to possible alleged abuse in the boy's home, but workers went to the wrong address.

They found the correct house three days later, the day Jordan was hospitalized.

The medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
