Police: Queens Man Arrested In Fatal Hit-And-Run Of Brooklyn Bicyclist

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have arrested a man in connection to a hit-and-run that killed a bicyclist in Brooklyn on Jan. 19.

Reng Can Ma, 46, of Brooklyn, was riding his bicycle on East 9th Street and Avenue U at around 5 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by a Ryder box truck moving in the same direction, police said. According to police, Ma was transported to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police arrested Junior J. Hicks, 31, of Queens in connection to the incident on Wednesday. He is charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with death involved, police said.
