NYPD: Woman Zip-Tied By Suspects In Bronx Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for two suspects who allegedly zip-tied a woman during a robbery in the Bronx last week.

According to police, the two suspects forced their way into an apartment on East 141 Street at around 10:45 a.m. on May 5. Once inside, the suspects zip-tied a 39-year-old woman, who was in the apartment with her two 2-year-old sons, police said.

The suspects left the scene after taking an undetermined amount of money and jewelry, police said.

The woman received minor injuries from being tied up, but refused medical attention, police said.

No other injuries were reported.

Police describe the suspects as between 20 and 30 years one -- one with a heavy build, and one with a thin build. A surveillance image of the suspects can be viewed above.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
