Police: Man Fired Through Window Into Apartment In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police late Monday were searching for a suspect who walked into an apartment building in the Bronx and fired into the window of the next building over.

Around 4:55 a.m. Monday, the suspect got into the building at 264 E. 199th St., in the Bedford Park section of the Bronx, from the fourth-floor stairwell, police said.

The suspect then fired a gun from the window on the stairway landing into the window of the apartment in the adjacent building at 2900 Briggs Ave., police said.

The suspect then ran off east on 199th Street, police said. No injuries were reported.

Police have released surveillance video of the suspect firing the gun.
