Gunman In Wheelchair Kills Man In The Bronx, Police Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are trying to identify a man in a wheelchair who they said pulled out a gun and opened fire, killing another man outside a housing complex in the Bronx.

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, police said they found 28-year-old Kevin Thomas outside the Mott Haven Houses on East 143rd Street with numerous gunshot wounds to the torso. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police later released surveillance images of two suspects, including the man in the wheelchair who they said "displayed a firearm and shot the victim multiple times." He is described by police as a black man who was wearing glasses and a black jacket.

The other is described by investigators as a black man who was wearing a brown jacket and a black baseball hat.
