2 Men Rescued From Trench At Bronx Construction Site

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Fire crews late Monday rescued two men who got stuck in a trench in the Bronx.

At least one of the men was a was a worker on the job at a construction site at Hicks Street and Fish Avenue in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx. They fell down the 6- to 8-foot trench, Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2.

Chopper 2 was on the scene as FDNY crews set up an emergency Stokes basket and placed one of the men inside, Biermann reported.

Both of the men were taken to Jacobi Medical Center with minor injuries, 1010 WINS reported.
