Police: Man Linked To 3 Bronx Robberies, Over $30,000 Stolen

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- Police are searching for a man who is accused of breaking into three locations and getting away with more than $30,000.

On February 22, police said the suspect entered Happy Land Chinese Restaurant in the Bronx through a roof vent at around 10 a.m. and then stole $17,7780 from the cash register and safe.

On March 4, the same man is believed to have made his way into Galazy Auto Center in the Bronx through a roof vent around 8:30 a.m. He then stole $14,920 from a safe, the register and an ATM, police said.

The latest incident happened on March 17, when the suspect broke into a rear window at Al-AQSA market at around 8 a.m. and stole $8,000 from the cashier box, police said.

The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic man who is 5-foot 10 inches. He was seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt in one incident.
