Suspect Injured In Police-Involved Shooting In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A suspected robber was grazed by a bullet fired by police in the Bronx, authorities said.

It happened during a botched gunpoint robbery involving three men on East 164th Street in the Morrisania section at about 1 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

When two officers encountered the suspects, police say one of the men brandished a handgun. Both officers fired their weapons. After a brief foot pursuit two suspects were taken into custody.

One of the suspects was hospitalized with a graze wound to his knee and hip.
