Cops: Bronx Man Shoots Wife On Christmas Morning, Flees

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly shot his wife on Christmas morning.

According to police, Rafael Herrera, 37, shot his wife in the arm and neck at just around 10 a.m. at their home on 220th Street in the Bronx, 1010 WINS' Samantha Liebman reported.

Herrera's children were also in the home, but in another room, police said.

The 27-year-old victim, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to Jacoby Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

The shooting appears to be related to a domestic dispute, police said.

Police are still searching for Herrera. According to police, the suspect is  5'8" and was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and jeans. Herrera is carrying a firearm, cops said.
