Police: Man Found Beaten In The Bronx Dies From Injuries

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man who was hospitalized after being found beaten in the Bronx has died from his injuries, police said Thursday.

Bakari Sissoko, 47, died Wednesday. Police are now treating the case as a homicide and are still looking for three men who are wanted for questioning, authorities said.

Sissoko was found beaten and unconscious early Saturday morning on Townsend Avenue in the Mount Eden section, police said. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition with facial fractures and skull fractures, police said.

Police released surveillance video of the men wanted for questioning.

So far, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
