Bronx Man Reunited With Missing Dog

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP)-- Police say a Pitbull named Luna Gray that was reported missing in the Bronx days ago has been recovered.

But authorities say Sunday detectives haven't yet determined exactly who set the pooch free from the pole she was tied up to outside a Fordham store.

Luna Gray was reported missing Friday by her 22-year-old owner after he discovered she'd been let loose while he was inside a store. Police say he paid $1,100 for his pet.

Police say the dog was found by an ASPCA worker without injuries and was brought to a Manhattan shelter. She's set to be reunited with her owner.

Police say detectives aren't sure if Luna Gray was stolen or released by a Good Samaritan who believed the dog had been abandoned.
