Arrest Made In Bronx Car Explosion

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has made an arrest in connection with a car explosion in the Bronx.

CBS2 reports authorities took 36-year-old Richard Laugel into custody over last week's incident.

Investigators said two aerosol cans – one reportedly armed with a detonator – ignited inside a moving car Wednesday night in the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx.

The 24-year-old driver and his passenger were not injured.

Laugel has been charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and arson.
